The Mount Miguel Matadors basketball team (Spring Valley, CA), was overwhelmed 72-7 in Monday's non-league battle with the visiting Steele Canyon Cougars (Spring Valley, CA)

The Cougars now possess a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Del Norte for a non-league battle on Tuesday, November 29. Steele Canyon will battle a Nighthawks team coming off a 66-9 non-league win over Coronado (Coronado, CA). The Nighthawks record now stands at 1-0.

The Matadors (0-2) will now prepare for their battle against Pacific Ridge (Carlsbad, CA). The Firebird come into the non-league battle with a 1-3 record. In their last battle, Pacific Ridge was overwhelmed by Steele Canyon (Spring Valley, CA), 48-26, in a non-league battle.
