Florida High School Basketball - Mulberry edges Avon Park

The Mulberry Panthers (Mulberry, FL) basketball nipped the host Avon Park Red Devils (Avon Park, FL), 60-59 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Panthers (1-0) will now prepare for their test against Hernando (Brooksville, FL). The Leopards go into the non-league test with a 1-2 record. In their last test, Hernando got by Citrus (Inverness, FL), 48-44, in a non-league test.

The Red Devils now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Lake Wales for a non-league test on Friday, December 1. Avon Park will battle a Highlanders team coming off a 63-52 non-league loss to McKeel Academy (Lakeland, FL). The Highlanders record now stands at 0-1.
