North Carolina High School Basketball - Hobbton knocked off by North Johnston

November 28, 2023: Newton Grove, NC 28366

The North Johnston Panthers basketball team scored 55 points and held the host Hobbton Wildcats to 40 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Panthers now sport a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Smithfield-Selma for a non-league contest on Friday, December 1. North Johnston will battle a Spartans team coming off a 56-51 non-league win over Rosewood (Goldsboro, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 1-2.

The Wildcats (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Harnett Central (Angier, NC). The Trojans enter the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Harnett Central was defeated by Overhills (Spring Lake, NC), 44-25, in a non-league contest.
