The Osage Green Devils basketball team scored 71 points and held the host Newman Catholic Knights to 54 in the Green Devils league triumph on Tuesday.

The Green Devils now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to New Hampton for a non-league contest on Thursday, November 30. Osage will battle a Chickasaws team coming off a 57-42 non-league loss to Turkey Valley (Jackson Junction, IA). The Chickasaws record now stands at 0-1.

The Knights (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against North Butler (Greene, IA). The Bearcats enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, North Butler was defeated by Northwood-Kensett (Northwood, IA), 46-43, in a league contest.
