The South Ridge Mavericks (Phoenix, AZ) basketball nipped the visiting Western SciTech Aztec Warrior (Phoenix, AZ), 49-44 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Mavericks (1-1) will now prepare for their test against Alta Vista Charter (Tucson, AZ). The Lobos go into the non-league test with a 1-0 record. In their last test, Alta Vista Charter got by James Madison Preparatory School (Tempe, AZ), 52-36, in a non-league test.

The Aztec Warrior now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to El Dorado for a non-league outing on Friday, December 1.
