The Cloquet Lumberjacks basketball team scored 54 points and restricted the host Esko Eskomos to 44 in the Lumberjacks non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Lumberjacks now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hermantown for a AAA Section 7 contest on Thursday, November 30. Cloquet will battle a Hawks team coming off a 57-42 non-league loss to Bemidji (Bemidji, MN). The Hawks record now stands at 0-1.
The Eskomos (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Rock Ridge co-op [Eveleth-Gilbert/Virginia] (Eveleth, MN). The Wolverines come into the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Rock Ridge co-op [Eveleth-Gilbert/Virginia] prevailed over Greenway (Coleraine, MN), 71-51, in a non-league contest.
