The Leon Cougars basketball team scored 53 points and restricted the visiting Itasca Wampus Cats to 17 in the Cougars non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Cougars now sport a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Milford for a non-league contest on Thursday, November 30.

The Wampus Cats (4-6) will now prepare for their contest against Hillsboro (Hillsboro, TX). The Eagles come into the non-league contest with a 3-6 record. In their last contest, Hillsboro was routed by Tolar (Tolar, TX), 57-27, in a non-league contest.
