Martin County Cardinals (Inez, KY) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Menifee County Wildcats (Frenchburg, KY), 56-52 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Martin County upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Newport (Newport, KY) to clash with the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Friday, December 1. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Newport lost 59-18 in their recent non-league bout against Beechwood (Fort Mitchell, KY)

Next up, the Wildcats clash with the Elliott County Lions (Sandy Hook, KY) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 1. Menifee County will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record.
