North Carolina High School Basketball - Starmount topped by West Wilkes

November 28, 2023: Boonville, NC 27011

The West Wilkes Blackhawks basketball team scored 57 points and restricted the host Starmount Rams to 48 in the Blackhawks non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Blackhawks now sport a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Alleghany for a non-league contest on Thursday, November 30. West Wilkes will battle a Trojans team coming off a 35-27 non-league loss to Galax (Galax, VA). The Trojans record now stands at 0-2.

The Rams (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC). The Eagles come into the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Wilkes Central prevailed over West Iredell (Statesville, NC), 54-11, in a non-league contest.
