Sterlington Panthers (Sterlington, LA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting West Ouachita Chiefs (West Monroe, LA), 58-38 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Sterlington upgrades its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Oak Grove (Oak Grove, LA) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Thursday, November 30. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 3-1. Oak Grove won 48-17 in their recent non-league bout against Forest (Forest, LA)

Next up, the Chiefs play the Calvin Cougars (Calvin, LA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, November 30. West Ouachita will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record. The Cougars come into the bout with a 4-3 record after their 52-47 non-league win over Cedar Creek (Ruston, LA).
