The North Gaston Wildcats (Dallas, NC) basketball nipped the visiting Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC), 39-34 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Wildcats (1-2) will now prepare for their test against East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC). The Warriors go into the non-league test with a 3-1 record. In their last test, East Gaston was tipped by Huss (Gastonia, NC), 60-58, in a non-league test.

The Cougars now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to South Iredell for a non-league test on Friday, December 2. Alexander Central will encounter a Vikings squad coming off a 73-66 non-league win over West Iredell (Statesville, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 2-2.
