Mitchener University Academy Tigers (Selma, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Iron Academy Swordsmen (Raleigh, NC), 64-63 in a league bout.

With the win, Mitchener University Academy upgrades its record to 4-1 on the season. The Tigers host NC GBB Academy (Durham, NC) to clash with the Eagles in a bout on Thursday, December 1. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 1-1. NC GBB Academy won 82-22 in their recent league bout against Wake Prep Academy (Wake Forest, NC)

Next up, the Swordsmen clash with the Commission Leadership Academy Griffins (Youngsville, NC) in a CAASC Triangle bout, on Thursday, December 8. Iron Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record. The Griffins go into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 50-40 league loss to Iron Academy (Raleigh, NC).
