    The Prairie City-Monroe Mustangs basketball team scored 70 points and held the visiting Knoxville Panthers to 52 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Tuesday.

    The Mustangs now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Nevada for a Heart of Iowa - Large contest on Friday, December 2. Prairie City-Monroe will battle a Cubs team coming off a 63-36 non-league win over Carlisle (Carlisle, IA). The Cubs record now stands at 1-1.

    The Panthers (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Cardinal (Eldon, IA). The Comets enter the non-league contest with a 0-0 record.
