The Navasota Rattlers basketball team scored 43 points and held the visiting New Waverly Bulldogs to 40 in the Rattlers non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Rattlers now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to La Vega for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 1. Navasota will battle a Pirates team coming off a 72-35 non-league loss to Life Waxahachie (Waxahachie, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 0-1.

The Bulldogs (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Calvert (Calvert, TX). The Trojans enter the non-league contest with a 0-3 record. In their last contest, Calvert was nudged by Prairie Lea (Prairie Lea, TX), 56-51, in a non-league contest.
