Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Wakefield Wolverines (Raleigh, NC), 42-36 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Pinecrest upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Patriots travel to Clayton (Clayton, NC) to clash with the Comets in a non-league bout on Friday, December 2. The Comets go into the bout with a record of 1-1. Clayton won 57-13 in their recent non-league bout against Knightdale (Knightdale, NC)

Next up, the Wolverines clash with the Athens Drive Jaguars (Raleigh, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 2. Wakefield will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Jaguars go into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 65-42 non-league loss to Cardinal Gibbons (Raleigh, NC).
