Benton Rangers (Benton, IL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Herrin Tigers (Herrin, IL), 51-33 in a league bout.

With the win, Benton upgrades its record to 3-3 on the season. The Rangers host Frankfort (West Frankfort, IL) to play the Redbirds in a Southern Illinois River-to-River - Ohio bout on Tuesday, December 6. The Redbirds go into the bout with a record of 1-6. Frankfort lost 71-33 in their recent non-league bout against Goreville (Goreville, IL)

Next up, the Tigers play the Centralia Orphans (Centralia, IL) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 1. Herrin will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record. The Orphans go into the bout with a 0-4 record after their 47-43 league loss to Carbondale (Carbondale, IL).
