The Jacobs Golden Eagles basketball team (Algonquin, IL), was nudged 33-26 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Cary-Grove Trojans (Cary, IL)
The Trojans now possess a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hampshire for a Fox Valley battle on Friday, December 2. Cary-Grove will battle a Whip-Purs team coming off a 37-20 league win over Central (Burlington, IL). The Whip-Purs record now stands at 2-2.
The Golden Eagles (1-4) will now prepare for their battle against Huntley (Huntley, IL). The Red Raiders come into the Fox Valley battle with a 5-0 record. In their last battle, Huntley edged Prairie Ridge (Crystal Lake, IL), 49-19, in a league battle.
