Illinois High School Basketball - Mt. Zion trounces Charleston

November 29, 2022: Charleston, IL 61920

The Mt. Zion Braves (Mt. Zion, IL) basketball crushed the host Charleston Trojans (Charleston, IL), 59-24 in Tuesday's league test.

The Braves (3-4) will now prepare for their test against Mahomet-Seymour (Mahomet, IL). The Bulldogs go into the Apollo test with a 5-1 record. In their last test, Mahomet-Seymour walloped Bloomington Central Catholic (Bloomington, IL), 64-38, in a non-league test.

The Trojans now own a 1-4 record. They play next when they host Urbana for a non-league test on Thursday, December 1. Charleston will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 35-23 non-league loss to Monticello (Monticello, IL). The Tigers record now stands at 0-3.
