Gate City Blue Devils (Gate City, VA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Dobyns-Bennett Indians (Kingsport, TN), 44-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Gate City upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Blue Devils travel to Tennessee (Bristol, TN) to play the Vikings in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 6. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 1-2.

Next up, the Indians play the Central Wise Warriors (Norton, VA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 10. Dobyns-Bennett will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record.
