Shining Light Baptist Academy Sharks (Monroe, NC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Matthews Christian Academy Colts (Matthews, NC), 38-17 in a league bout.

With the victory, Shining Light Baptist Academy upgrades its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Sharks host Southview Christian (Statesville, NC) to play the Conquerors in a non-league bout on Friday, December 2. The Conquerors come into the bout with a record of 3-2. Southview Christian won 45-31 in their recent non-league bout against Union Grove Christian (Lexington, NC)

Next up, the Colts play the Calvary Christian Cougar (King, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 2. Matthews Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Cougar come into the bout with a 2-2 record after their 55-22 league win over White Plains Christian (Mount Airy, NC).
