The West Charlotte Lions (Charlotte, NC) basketball nipped the visiting Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC), 31-26 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Lions (2-0) will now prepare for their test against Garinger (Charlotte, NC). The Wildcats go into the non-league test with a 1-3 record. In their last test, Garinger got by Mooresville (Mooresville, NC), 76-7, in a non-league test.
The Patriots now own a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Mallard Creek for a non-league test on Thursday, December 1. Independence will encounter a Mavericks squad coming off a 38-32 non-league win over Palisades (Charlotte, NC). The Mavericks record now stands at 1-0.
