Hamady Hawks (Flint, MI) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting New Standard Academy Spartans (Flint, MI), 61-60 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Hamady upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Hawks host De La Salle Collegiate (Warren, MI) to play the Pilots in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 2. The Pilots go into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Spartans play the Genesee Wolves (Genesee, MI) in a Genesee Area - Blue bout, on Friday, December 8. New Standard Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Wolves go into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 69-31 non-league loss to Imlay City (Imlay City, MI).
