Ohio High School Basketball - Northmont topped by Fairmont

The Fairmont Firebirds basketball team scored 52 points and restricted the visiting Northmont Thunderbolts to 39 in the Firebirds league victory on Wednesday.

The Firebirds now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Springboro for a Greater Western Ohio contest on Saturday, December 2. Fairmont will battle a Panthers team coming off a 69-58 league win over Beavercreek (Beavercreek, OH). The Panthers record now stands at 2-1.

The Thunderbolts (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Wayne (Huber Heights, OH). The Warriors come into the Greater Western Ohio contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Wayne prevailed over Miamisburg (Miamisburg, OH), 46-39, in a league contest.
