The Minerva Lions basketball team (Minerva, OH), was overwhelmed 56-20 in Wednesday's league battle with the host West Branch Warriors (Beloit, OH)
The Warriors now possess a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Marlington for a Eastern Buckeye battle on Saturday, December 2. West Branch will battle a Dukes team coming off a 46-45 league loss to Carrollton (Carrollton, OH). The Dukes record now stands at 0-2.
The Lions (1-1) will now prepare for their battle against Salem (Salem, OH). The Quakers come into the Eastern Buckeye battle with a 1-2 record. In their last battle, Salem was overwhelmed by Alliance (Alliance, OH), 39-35, in a league battle.
