The New Bern Bears basketball team scored 38 points and held the visiting West Craven Eagles to 36 in the Bears non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Bears now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ashley for a non-league contest on Thursday, November 30. New Bern will battle a Screaming Eagle team coming off a 39-20 non-league loss to White Oak (Jacksonville, NC). The Screaming Eagle record now stands at 0-1.
