In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Mickey Leland College Preparatory Academy for Young Men Knights basketball team scored a close 51-44 triumph over the Madison Marlins.

The Knights (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against Furr (Houston, TX). The Brahmans go into the 4A Region III District 20 contest with a 2-3 record. In their last contest, Furr nipped Lee (Baytown, TX), 74-49, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Marlins battle the Westbury Huskies (Houston, TX) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, November 30. Madison will attempt to better on its 2-3 season record. The Huskies go into the contest with a 1-4 record after their 69-66 league loss to Waltrip (Houston, TX).
