Georgia High School Basketball - Hancock Central succumbs to Washington County

November 29, 2024: Sparta, GA 31087

The Washington County Golden Hawks defeated the host Hancock Central Bulldogs basketball team by a margin of 66-46 in Friday's non-league contest.

The Golden Hawks (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Southwest (Macon, GA). The Patriots go into the A D1 Region 2 contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Southwest was topped by Jones County (Gray, GA), 69-19, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Bulldogs battle the Putnam County War Eagles (Eatonton, GA) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, November 30. Hancock Central will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record. The War Eagles go into the contest with a 5-1 record after their 72-19 non-league win over Greene County (Greensboro, GA).
