The Heritage Hurricanes basketball team scored 80 points and held the host Denbigh Patriots to 12 in the Hurricanes league triumph on Tuesday.

The Hurricanes now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kecoughtan for a Peninsula contest on Friday, December 3. Heritage will meet a Warriors team coming off a 55-45 league loss to Woodside (Newport News, VA). The Warriors record now stands at 0-1.

The Patriots (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Menchville (Newport News, VA). The Monarchs enter the Peninsula contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Menchville triumphed over Phoebus (Hampton, VA), 89-23, in a league contest.
