The East Ascension Spartans basketball team (Gonzales, LA), dropped 69-56 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the host Catholic-B.R. Bears (Baton Rouge, LA)
The Bears now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Scotlandville for a 5A District 4 battle on Friday, December 2.
The Spartans (1-1) will now prepare for their battle against Dutchtown (Geismar, LA). The Griffins come into the 5A District 5 battle with a 1-0 record. In their last battle, Dutchtown prevailed over Destrehan (Destrehan, LA), 51-46, in a non-league battle.
