California High School Basketball - Laughlin ripped by Needles

November 30, 2022: Needles, CA 92363

The Needles Mustangs basketball team scored 56 points and held the visiting Laughlin Cougars to 27 in the Mustangs league triumph on Wednesday.

The Mustangs now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to El Capitan for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 1. Needles will battle a Eagles team coming off a 65-19 non-league win over Beaver Dam (Littlefield, AZ). The Eagles record now stands at 1-0.

The Cougars (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Awaken Christian (Las Vegas, NV). The Lions enter the 2A Southern contest with a 0-3 record. In their last contest, Awaken Christian was routed by Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas (Henderson, NV), 70-32, in a non-league bout.
