Cedar Ridge Timberwolves (Newark, AR) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Marshall Bobcats (Marshall, AR), 56-54 in a league bout.

With the victory, Cedar Ridge upgrades its record to 1-2 on the campaign. The Timberwolves travel to Izard County (Brockwell, AR) to play the Cougars in a 2A Region 2 bout on Saturday, December 3. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 0-2. Izard County lost 74-59 in their recent league bout against Quitman (Quitman, AR)

Next up, the Bobcats play the Quitman Bulldogs (Quitman, AR) in a 2A Region 2 bout, on Saturday, December 3. Marshall will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 74-59 league win over Izard County (Brockwell, AR).
