West Vikings (Bakersfield, CA) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Mira Monte Lions (Bakersfield, CA), 43-41 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, West upgrades its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Chavez (Delano, CA) to play the Titans in a non-league bout on Monday, December 5. The Titans come into the bout with a record of 2-2. Chavez won 65-23 in their recent non-league bout against Highland (Bakersfield, CA)

Next up, the Lions play the Shafter Generals (Shafter, CA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 8. Mira Monte will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record.
