The East Wilkes Cardinals basketball team scored 47 points and restricted the host West Wilkes Blackhawks to 15 in the Cardinals non-league victory on Wednesday.

The Cardinals now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wilkes Central for a non-league contest on Friday, December 2. East Wilkes will battle a Eagles team coming off a 35-15 non-league win over Elkin (Elkin, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 2-0.
