North Carolina High School Basketball - Pender crushes Lakewood

November 30, 2022: Roseboro, NC 28385

Pender Patriots (Burgaw, NC) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Lakewood Leopards (Roseboro, NC), 72-43 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Pender upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Laney (Wilmington, NC) to play the Buccaneers in a non-league bout on Friday, December 2. The Buccaneers come into the bout with a record of 3-1. Laney won 55-46 in their recent non-league bout against Northside - Jacksonville (Jacksonville, NC)

Next up, the Leopards play the Midway Raiders (Dunn, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 2. Lakewood will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Raiders come into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 77-49 non-league loss to Triton (Erwin, NC).
