Salem Spartans (Salem, VA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Liberty Minutemen (Bedford, VA), 56-30 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Salem upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Spartans travel to Northside (Roanoke, VA) to play the Vikings in a non-league bout on Friday, December 2. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 1-0. Northside won 38-35 in their recent non-league bout against Hidden Valley (Roanoke, VA)

Next up, the Minutemen play the Wilson Memorial Green Hornets (Fishersville, VA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 1. Liberty will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Green Hornets go into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 41-30 non-league loss to Monticello (Charlottesville, VA).
