Malad Dragons (Malad, ID) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Firth Cougars (Firth, ID), 55-52 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Malad upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Dragons host Grace (Grace, ID) to play the Grizzlies in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 2. The Grizzlies go into the bout with a record of 1-0. Grace won 42-40 in their recent non-league bout against Bear Lake (Montpelier, ID)

Next up, the Cougars play the Declo Hornets (Declo, ID) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 5. Firth will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Hornets go into the bout with a 2-0 record after their 53-43 non-league win over West Jefferson (Terreton, ID).
