Galax Maroon Tide (Galax, VA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Graham G-Men (Bluefield, VA), 1-0 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Galax upgrades its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Maroon Tide host Christiansburg (Christiansburg, VA) to play the Blue Demons in a non-league bout on Monday, December 4. The Blue Demons come into the bout with a record of 1-0. Christiansburg won 60-41 in their recent non-league bout against James River (Buchanan, VA)

Next up, the G-Men play the George Wythe Maroons (Wytheville, VA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 5. Graham will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
