Palmetto Tigers (Palmetto, FL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Manatee Hurricanes (Bradenton, FL), 48-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Palmetto upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Tigers travel to Hardee (Wauchula, FL) to clash with the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Friday, December 1. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Hardee lost 25-23 in their recent league bout against Fort Meade (Fort Meade, FL)

Next up, the Hurricanes clash with the Shorecrest Prep Chargers (St. Petersburg, FL) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 4. Manatee will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Chargers go into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 46-10 non-league loss to Braden River (Bradenton, FL).
