The Waterville-Elysian-Morristown Buccaneers basketball team scored 62 points and held the visiting Maple River Eagles to 61 in the Buccaneers league triumph on Thursday.

The Buccaneers now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Blooming Prairie for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 5.

The Eagles (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Kenyon-Wanamingo (Kenyon, MN). The Knights enter the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Kenyon-Wanamingo was nudged by Blooming Prairie (Blooming Prairie, MN), 52-50, in a league contest.
