Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the The Colony Cougars (The Colony, TX) and the host Weslaco East Wildcats (Weslaco, TX), saw The Colony's basketball squad wallop Weslaco East by a count of 52-30.
With the victory, The Colony upgrades its record to 4-7 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Aransas Pass (Aransas Pass, TX) to play the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, November 30. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 2-2. Aransas Pass won 41-27 in their recent non-league challenge against Rockport-Fulton (Rockport, TX)
Next up, the Wildcats play the Porter Cowboys (Brownsville, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 32 challenge, on Tuesday, December 5. Weslaco East will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Cowboys come into the challenge with a 1-5 record after their 86-15 non-league loss to Harvest Christian (Edinburg, TX).
