North Carolina High School Basketball - Newton-Conover fells Hickory

Newton-Conover Red Devils (Newton, NC) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC), 48-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Newton-Conover upgrades its record to 3-0 on the season. The Red Devils host Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC) to clash with the Huskies in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 5. The Huskies go into the bout with a record of 4-1. Ashe County won 46-40 in their recent non-league bout against Mountain Heritage (Burnsville, NC)

Next up, the Red Tornadoes clash with the Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 5. Hickory will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Patriots go into the bout with a 3-0 record after their 69-24 non-league win over Draughn (Valdese, NC).
