In Wednesday's non-league contest, the visiting East Rankin Academy Patriots basketball team scored a good 56-39 triumph over the Madison-Ridgeland Academy Patriots.

The Patriots (6-0) will now prepare for their contest against Starkville Academy (Starkville, MS). The Volunteers go into the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Starkville Academy topped Winston Academy (Louisville, MS), 36-18, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Patriots battle the Central Hinds Academy Cougars (Raymond, MS) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, November 12. Madison-Ridgeland Academy will attempt to better on its 1-2 season record.
