Mississippi High School Basketball - Quitman tops Heidelberg

Quitman Panthers (Quitman, MS) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Heidelberg Oilers (Heidelberg, MS), 56-48 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Quitman upgrades its record to 3-1 on the campaign. The Panthers host Forest (Forest, MS) to play the Bearcats in a non-league bout on Tuesday, November 8. The Bearcats come into the bout with a record of 1-0. Forest won 60-42 in their recent non-league bout against McAdams (McAdams, MS)

Next up, the Oilers play the Laurel Golden Tornadoes (Laurel, MS) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, November 15. Heidelberg will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Golden Tornadoes come into the bout with a 3-0 record after their 48-30 non-league win over Magee (Magee, MS).
