In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Leake Central Gators basketball team scored a big 63-31 triumph over the Velma Jackson Falcons.

The Gators (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Forest (Forest, MS). The Bearcats go into the non-league contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Forest smashed West Lauderdale (Collinsville, MS), 53-28, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Falcons confront the Leake County Gators (Walnut Grove, MS) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, November 14. Velma Jackson will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record.
