Newaygo Lions (Newaygo, MI) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team tip the host Central Montcalm Hornets (Stanton, MI), 35-34 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Newaygo advances its record to 10-2 on the season. The Lions travel to Lansing Catholic (Lansing, MI) to play the Cougars in a non-league battle on Saturday, November 16. The Cougars go into the battle with a record of 9-3. Lansing Catholic won 31-28 in their recent non-league battle against Ovid-Elsie (Elsie, MI)
The Hornets now own a 9-3 record.
