In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Wayne County War EaglesLady War Eagles basketball team scored a good 61-49 triumph over the Quitman Panthers.
The War EaglesLady War Eagles (2-0) will now prepare for their match against Petal (Petal, MS). The Panthers enter the non-league match with a 1-3 record. In their last match, Petal was dropped by Purvis (Purvis, MS), 65-22, in a non-league match.
The Panthers now sport a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host South Jones for a non-league match on Thursday, November 13. Quitman will face a Braves squad coming off a 68-51 non-league win over Heidelberg (Heidelberg, MS). The Braves record now stands at 2-1.
