Carolina Christian Lions (Locust, NC) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Fletcher Falcons (Charlotte, NC), 31-30 in a league bout.

With the win, Carolina Christian upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Lions travel to Providence Classical (Rock Hill, SC) to play the in a Freelance bout on Monday, November 13. The go into the bout with a record of 0-2. Providence Classical lost 42-37 in their recent non-league bout against Lake Pointe Academy (York, SC)

Next up, the Falcons play the Lee Park Prep Knights (Monroe, NC) in a Metro Area bout, on Monday, November 13. Fletcher will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 55-26 non-league win over North Hills Christian (Salisbury, NC).
