Texas High School Basketball - Porter ripped by Veterans Memorial

The Veterans Memorial Chargers basketball team scored 71 points and held the host Porter Cowboys to 11 in the Chargers non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Chargers now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pharr-San Juan-Alamo for a non-league contest on Thursday, November 9. Veterans Memorial will meet a Bears team coming off a 58-22 non-league loss to Rio Grande City (Rio Grande City, TX). The Bears record now stands at 0-1.

The Cowboys (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Weslaco (Weslaco, TX). The Panthers enter the non-league contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Weslaco was routed by Mercedes (Mercedes, TX), 54-53, in a non-league contest.
