The Vandegrift Vipers basketball team scored 48 points and limited the visiting Westlake Chaparrals to 45 in the Vipers non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Vipers now have a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Glenn for a non-league game on Tuesday, November 12. Vandegrift will confront a Grizzlies team coming off a 93-68 non-league loss to Brandeis (San Antonio, TX). The Grizzlies record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Westlake falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Chaparrals host University (Waco, TX) to confront the Trojans in a non-league game on Tuesday, November 12. The Trojans go into the game with a record of 0-0.
