Lynnfield Pioneers (Lynnfield, MA) fans went home in high spirits Saturday as they saw their football team tip the host Amesbury Redhawks (Amesbury, MA), 2-0 in a non-league contest.
The Pioneers (8-1) will now prepare for their contest against Newburyport (Newburyport, MA). The Clippers enter the non-league contest with a 2-4 record. In their last contest, Newburyport was nudged by Pentucket Regional (West Newbury, MA), 20-7, in a non-league contest.
